ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) is a modem technology that provides simultaneous and fast data, audio and video transmission via copper cables used for existing phone lines.
What innovations does TTNET ADSL provide Internet users?
- Fast Internet access
- ADSL gives Internet users alternative speed choices, varying between a minimum of 1024 Kbps (1 Mbps) and a maximum of 8192 Kbps (8 Mbps).
- 24 hour, nonstop connection
- ADSL gives Internet users continuous connection
- Internet and talking via the same phone line
- ADSL gives Internet users the opportunity to have access to the Internet and talk on the phone at the same time via the same phone line without needing a second line.

- ADSL provides Internet users with all the functionality of numerical technology: Simultaneous audio and video transmission with no connection loss or failure.
There are two TTNET ADSL packages, based on limited and unlimited usage: NET and LİMİTSİZ.
- NET Packages: The choices are a 4 or 6 GB data usage with quota up to 8 Mbps (NET4; NET4 (Plus) and NET6)
- LİMİTSİZ Packages: There are many unlimited packages that are not dependent on the amount of the data usage amount to provide determine your speed choices, such as 1 Mbps (1LİMİTSİZ),; 2 Mbps (2LİMİTSİZ),; 4 Mbps (4LİMİTSİZ),; up to 8 Mbps (NETLİMİTSİZ) and up to 8 Mbps (8LİMİTSİZ).
-

What is the download/upload speed?
Download indicates the file downloading speed from the Internet, while upload indicates the file transmission speed. The upload speed is one-quarter of the download speed.
Thanks to service providers and developing technology, the ADSL Internet access speed is currently at 8192 Mbps. The speed stated in your package indicates the maximum speed available. Although the phone line is only reserved for you, Internet access speed could decrease depending on infrastructure and your phone line's quality, especially during the peak use periods. Internet access is affected by the following factors between your phone line and the Internet service provider:
- The Status of Your Computer: The status and the configuration of your computer the Internet use. For example, if while using the Internet your computer is infected by a virus, your speed may decrease since you could be sharing the Internet with the virus. If some of the programs installed on your computer are set to update automatically, your Internet surfing speed may decrease during the update period.
- The Quality of Your Phone Line: Your phone line is one of the most important factors determining ADSL access quality. If the copper wire in the phone line is thin or degraded, it carries less data at any given time. Interference or noise on the wire (arising from interaction with other wires for example) could decrease or terminate your ADSL access. If your connection breaks down, your phone line will break down too.
- Density at the Internet Exchange Points: The density of calls and data transmission on phone lines can cause problems with a subscriber's data traffic, block Internet service providers before reaching the "Internet cloud" and may provide insufficient data.
- Distance from the Internet Exchange Point: ADSL is a communication technology where connection speed decreases as distance from the central exchange increases. Under ideal circumstances, ADSL services should be provided only up 5.5 kilometers from the exchange.
- The Performance of Central ADSL Devices Installed at Central Internet Exchanges: The performance of the devices used at the central exchange affects the speed and the connectivity of ADSL access.
- The Performance of your ADSL Modem/Router: The performance of the device you use affects the speed and connectivity of ADSL access.
In case of any Internet connection problems, please check the following:
- Your modem settings
- Whether or not your line is working
- Whether or not your computer settings are correct and have not changed.
If you still cannot connect to Internet, even though you carried out the above checks, call TTNET customer services on 444 0 375.
